Good idea with waiting until your 18, very smart idea. As for the age difference, you never know what could happen. My brother and his wife are 8 years apart, and my parents are 5 years apart. and I'm sure there are people that are 10 years apart. Listen to your heart, but make sure you use your brain for decisions to keep you safe.
