Why does TripAdvisor and all other hotel review websites have such bad design!?

It's so frustrating. It's one of the busiest websites I've seen in the last few years. It's as if the website is prostituting itself to me. Surely, the can afford a good designer to re-think their design standards. Do you seriously need ads, banners, three different places to book hotel rooms on the same page, and so many exclamation points? ugh.
