Did I do the right thing?

Okay so long story short: my friend treated me like crap, then about a few months later she told me she didn't want to be my friend. Then yesterday she sent me a friend request on facebook because I deleted her a long time ago, and she sent me a message saying "I like your banner". I told her "thanks" because I didn't want to be rude. I didn't accept her friend request, also I put it to where she couldn't send me anymore friend requests. I don't know she makes me kind of mad sometimes because she's so mean to me sometimes and doesn't want to be my friend, then later on she says "let's be friends again", and she doesn't even tell me sorry.This time I don't want to be her friend, but for some reason I feel kind of bad.
